Photography at Night

You've seen it. Now learn how to do it. Photographing the city lights after dark is an incredible experience. We'll use the buildings and streets near class to learn how to capture different indoor and outdoor lighting situations, how to get a correct exposure, and how your camera works under low light situations. Processing in Photoshop or Lightroom

Designed for students who have attended my Photoshop for Photographers class or watched my video tutorials on YouTube and are ready for more. This class is more in-depth than W0968 and assumes a basic understanding of Photoshop CC or Lightroom. We'll concentrate on the tabs in Photoshop CC Adobe Camera Raw and the Develop module in Lightroom. Both process images in much the same way. Photo Critique and Discussion

Is your photo good or are your Facebook friends just being kind? Is your family the best judge of your photography work? Join us for an evening of honest, constructive, but critical talk about photos. Participants will bring five photos for critique. Kathy Adams Clark, professional photographer and class moderator, will offer her opinion of each photo. Then the class will be led through a discussion about each photo.

Attend class to learn how people "see" a photograph. Listen, contribute to the conversation, and share your thoughts. Class is designed to help attendees grow as photographers and develop confidence in their photo skills.

Hummingbird Photography

Photograph ruby-throated hummingbirds in a garden setting in north Houston. There should be 30-50 hummingbirds in the garden if conditions are right. Participants will receive instruction on hummingbird photography and hummingbird behavior. Stop-action photo studio will be available for use based on the number of people in the class.

Natural light creates a stunning look in portrait photography. Join us for this hands-on class. We'll use natural sunlight from windows to photograph our subject. Learn how to supplement natural light with a flash, reflector, and LED continuous light. Be a model as well as the photographer. Bring your camera, lens, tripod, and flash to class.
