Costa Rica: Northern Reaches for Birds and More

2024 will be my 20th year of leading photo/birding tours to Costa Rica.

Join Kathy Adams Clark as we explore Tenorio Volcano National Park, Maquenque National Wildlife refuge, the Arenal Volcano area, and the Guanacaste Region.

Mountains, lowlands, tropical jungles, and dry forest. Several habitates for a wide variety of birds including king vulture, great green macaw, chestnut-mandibled toucan, great curassow, and green honeycreeper.

Costa Rica -- Central

This is one of my favorite routes in Costa Rica.

We'll travel to the valleys of the Talamanca Mountains for hummingbirds, mountains streams, and maybe a resplendent Quetzal.

Then we move to one of my all time favorite eco-lodges tucked in the Turrialba area at middle elevation. Our last stop is in the lowlands of the Sarapiqui region. Three different eco-systems for a wide variety of birds, mammals, frogs, and landscapes.

Traveling companions are welcome. No need to be a photographer. This trip is an adventure.

Spain's Andalusia

Andalusia is one of the most picturesque regions of Spain. Granda's Alhambra, Seville's Alcazar, Cordoba's Meztiqua are the grande stops. Moorish architecture, charming villages, tapas, and flamenco dancers. What an amazing location to explore with your camera.

Costa Rica -- All New Itinerary

I've never visited the Caribbean Coast in the 20 years I've been leading photo tours to Costa Rica. It's about time!

Arrive in San Jose and then travel to Tortuguero National Park on the east coast of Costa Rica. Green macaws, toucans, kingfishers, herons, and more. Glide through the mangroves in a electric boat while wildlife sits close by ready to be photographed.

Move to the lower coast to visit Cahuita National Park and the Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. More green macaws plus sloths.

Our next location is in the central highlights. Photograph hummingbirds and other tropical species visiting garden plants and feeders.

Czech Republic Prague to the Moravian Tuscany

Prague is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled cities in Europe.

Join me on this trip as we walk through Prague with our cameras. Enchanting night photos from locations around the city.

Move on to Kutna Hor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with Sedlec and Cesky Krumlov. Art, history, and culture abound in these locations. We end in Kyjov or the Moravian Tuscany.
