Ecuador Birds -- Western Andes
Join me as we return to the magical highlands of western Ecuador.
Arrive in Quito and then travel to the Antisana Reserve where we'll try to photograph the Andean Condor. We'll stop for shining sunbeam hummingbirds, maybe a giant hummingbird, and other highland specialties.
For the follow six nights, we'll stay in the same hotel in the Mindo area. Daily excursions will take us to photograph the Andean cock-of-the-rock, many hummingbirds including the booted racket-tail, lots of tanagers, toucans, aracaris, and exotic birds like the fruiteaters.
We're offering an extension to the Eastern Andes for a chance to photograph more birds and see new habitates.
November 3-11, 2027 $4495 for land, lodging, and guides. Single supplement available, small group surcharge might apply.
Extension to Eastern Andes November 11-15, 2027 $1995 per person.
